About Brixington Community Church

We are a Baptist Church situated within a residential area of Exmouth, Devon. Our  church was planted here in Brixington by the members of Exmouth Baptist Church in 1973, who built the present building on a green field site. Click here for a more detailed history.

We are members of the Evangelical Alliance, and part of the community of Baptist Churches in Great Britain, being a member of the South West Baptist Association.

Music_PracticeWe have a dedicated worship team. The worship is lively, uplifting and contemporary in style. A variety of traditional and modern media are used within our services including word, music, dance, drama, video and PowerPoint.

There are regularly  times of open prayer within our services. Prayer is also a major feature of our weekly programme. This provides many opportunities for testimonies about answered prayers to be shared.

After a time of worship, the children go to their Sunday School classes or Creche. We hold an “All-Age” service once every month.

On Sunday evenings we have a monthly programme of prayer and worship meetings, including some joint meetings with Christchurch, Exmouth. Visitors to all services are very welcome.Jills-Table_WEB

We have a lively programme of social events which provide opportunities for non-Christian friends to fellowship with us and an open door to anyone who is seeking to learn more about the Christian faith.

We have a heart to serve the community around us and this is embodied in our Vision :

“To be a Christ centred people demonstrating the love of God in the community”

Our text for 2008:

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God
